Regarding the podcasting article, what you're saying is that once someone has purchased a CD from you, they can use what they've bought?
Also, I've been trying to understand the Open Music concept as explained on your site. It says that some artists may release the "source" material for music ie: sheet music. Have any of your artists done this?

Yes, some of our artists have released individual (unmixed) tracks from their albums, and their many of their tracks are on the CC Mixter web site (we're sponsoring a contest there). Getting multi-track sources is something I push artists to do, but I often don't get the tracks, simply because it's a lot of work for the artists to dump all the tracks, and often involves a charge from the recording engineer.
However, I'm in the process of consolidating all the various individual tracks we've received, to make a "remix sources" page at Magnatune, so you can easily find them all, and create new, interesting works.

A consolidated page will be great. :)
I'm sorry if my first question sounded snide. It wasn't meant to. I'm still trying to figure out how CC licenses work practically. What you do/don't have to pay for and when.
