Thanks to Philharmonia Baroque's PR firm, we're seeing a number of major USA newspapers covering our exclusive release of Atalanta.
So far, we've seen 3 major papers cover it:
4/30/2006 San Francisco Chronicle
4/28/2006 Minneapolis Star Tribune
4/16/2006 Wall Street Journal
as listed in our press coverage section.
I believe this is one of (if not the) first times major newspapers have reviewer an online-only release purely on musical grounds (ie, not the "interesting only because it's online" story) and the reviews have been glowing. I'm hoping this means that these news outlets will cover future PBO releases on Magnatune as well, treating them as equal to CD releases.
I LOVE YOUR MUSIC BUT THE ANNOUNCEMENTS BETWEEN TRACKS ARE REALLY ANNOYING.

Perhaps the point is that if you buy the albums instead of just streaming them for free, you don't have to hear the announcements...?
